Manage authentication

What's in this article:

Supported sign-in methods

There are currently two supported authentication methods for Social Card accounts, with plans to add more (with advanced SAML SSO support) in the future.

Email & Password

All accounts created on or before November 12th, 2023, use email/password authentication by default.

Passwordless Magic Link

Sign into your account with just your email address, and we'll send a magic link to your inbox to get you signed in—no password management is required.

Linking sign-in methods

Both sign-in methods discussed above can be used interchangeably with just a little configuration on accounts created before the release of passwordless sign-in.

If you created your workspace on or after November 12th, 2023, you will have passwordless sign-in active by default.

  • To add a password, you can visit your account settings and scroll down to the section titled Sign in using password.
  • You can then follow the on-screen steps to add a password. Once completed, you can use either sing-in method as you wish.

If your account was created with email and password, you can either maintain your use with no change or you can configure passwordless sign-in. Below are the steps to set up a passwordless login and optionally reconfigure a password:

  • First, sign out of your account if it is currently authenticated.
  • Note: Activated passwordless login with reset your existing password.
  • From the sign-in screen, please enter your account email address and click Send me a magic link.
  • Now, check your email inbox for an email from Social Card, and click the Sign In Now link.
  • Your account will be authenticated with a passwordless login, and you'll be redirected.
  • If you are satisfied with just using passwordless login from now on, you can stop here and carry on with your day!
  • To reset and re-link a password with your account, navigate to your account settings and scroll down to the section titled Sign in using password.
  • You can then follow the on-screen steps to add a password. Once completed, you can use either sing-in method as you wish.
