Microsoft Entra ID
Social Card supports connecting your Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory) to streamline business card management across your organization.
This integration helps workspace admins preview, import, and keep team member information in sync—saving time, reducing errors, and speeding up business card rollouts.
Overview
The Microsoft Entra ID integration offers two core functionalities:
User & Group Import
Preview and import users and groups into your Social Card workspace from your directory.
Active Sync
Sync directory data changes into your workspace, keeping contact info and business cards updated as roles or teams change.
This integration will allow you to:
- Import users from your Microsoft Entra ID directory.
- Sync user information automatically.
- Import and manage groups of users.
- Maintain a single source of truth for team contact information.
Permissions
The integration requires the following permissions to preview, import, and sync Users from your Entra ID directory:
- Users
- Groups
- Directory profile attributes
This integration is read-only, and we will never modify or edit any user or group properties.
Configure
For Social Card to have application-level access to your Entra ID directory, an Entra ID admin at your organization must approve the integration. If that's not you, contact your IT team to loop them in before proceeding.
Establishing Connection
- If you haven't been approved already, contact our team and request access to the Entra ID integration, which is still in Private Beta.
- Go to Integrations > Microsoft Entra ID
- Click Connect
- Copy the admin consent URL and send it to your IT administrator for approval. (This URL is time sensitive and will expire.)
- Once permissions are granted, you will see a connected status tag and be read for further configuration.
Configuration & Settings
To start using your newly established connection, you will need to define final settings that tell us how and what information you want to sync. Including an IT team member here might help ensure you import only the minimum required information.
