Sometimes, you may want to handle card distribution internally or use tooling that is not currently supported inside your workspace. The Bulk Card Export feature allows you to export distribution details for multiple business cards at once in CSV format.
How to Export Cards in Bulk
Select Cards: From the cards table, select the cards you want to export by checking the boxes next to each card.
Open Export Modal: Click the "Export" button in the action bar that appears when cards are selected.
Configure Export Options: In the export modal, you can customize which optional fields to include:
Web Pages: Include links to the web version of each card.
Mobile Wallet Passes: Include links to Apple Wallet and Google Wallet passes.
Export Cards: Click the "Yes, Export Cards" button to generate and download the CSV file.
Access Your Export: The CSV file will be downloaded to your device with a filename that includes the current date and time (e.g., business-card-distribution-3-15-2023-2-30PM.csv).
CSV Export Contents
The exported CSV file includes the following information for each card:
Required Fields (Always Included)
Card Name: The name associated with the business card
Card Email: The email address associated with the card
Last Updated: The date and time when the card was last modified
Last Published: The date and time when the card was last published
Distribution Link: The link that can be shared to distribute access to each card platform with your team members. This is the recommended distribution link!
Optional Fields
Web Page: Direct link to the web version of the card (if available)
Apple Wallet: Link to download the Apple Wallet pass (if available)
Google Wallet: Link to save the Google Wallet pass (if available)
Additional Fields
View Card: A direct link to view and manage the card in your workspace.
Using the Exported Data
The exported CSV file can be used in various ways:
Share distribution links manually with team members or stakeholders via email, chat, or other internal tools.
Import into spreadsheet software like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for further work.
Integrate with other systems by importing the CSV data.
Create custom reports by combining with other data sources.
Troubleshooting
No cards selected: Ensure you've selected at least one card before attempting to export
Missing optional fields: Some cards may not have web pages or wallet passes available if the card was not yet published, does not include the platform, or had issues during publishing.
Large exports: The process may take a few moments to complete for very large exports (hundreds of cards).
Best Practices
Selective exports: Export only the cards you need to work with rather than your entire library
Field selection: Only include the optional fields you need to keep your export focused and manageable
