How to use shadow customization in Social Card?
Within the Social Card editors, there are many places where you can take advantage of custom shadows for branding and design purposes. Designers using the editors will find the shadow tool easy to use and familiar, but those without a design background may struggle to figure things out. Below we'll go over the basics of using the shadow tools found across the Social Card platform.
- Color Previewer
- Shows the currently selected color and the associated RGB of that color.
- To open the color picker click on the preview.
- How to use color customization?
- Opacity
- Sets the opacity of the shadow.
- Can be a value between 0 and 100.
- 100 means the shadow color is opaque.
- 0 means the shadow is invisible (transparent).
- X Position
- Specifies the horizontal distance of the shadow from its parent item.
- Negative values place the shadow to the left of the item.
- Positive values place the shadow to the right of the item.
- Y Position
- Specifies the vertical distance of the shadow from its parent item.
- Negative values place the shadow above the item.
- Positive values place the shadow below the item.
- Blur
- The larger this value, the bigger the blur, so the shadow becomes bigger and lighter.
- Negative values are not allowed.
- If not specified, it will be 0 (the shadow's edge is sharp/square).
- Spread
- Positive values will cause the shadow to expand and grow bigger.
- Negative values will cause the shadow to shrink.
- If not specified, it will be 0 (the shadow will be the same size as the element).
- Hide Shadow
- Clicking this will hide the shadow from view and remove it.
